The Diocesan website now offers a donate facility that allows parishioners to donate to individual parishes such as our own as well as diocesan collections such as Trócaire and Retired Priests.

The process is secure and straightforward and a number of donations have already been made. If you would like to make a donation to the parish online then please go to and choose Muinebheag/Bagenalstown Parish.

Signage – Look out for signs and take time to read

Sanitisation- Sanitisers are in appointed places in church and please use

Stewards- Follow their guidance, they are there to help you

Support– Support your church and maybe select a day to spread the Sunday congregation during the week, Make a contribution to your church as you enter the church or as you leave it.

Social Distance-2metres apart, no shaking hands, no sign of peace. Respect those in front of you and behind you particularly when you are approaching the sanctuary at Holy Communion. Be mindful of your place in the queue.

Seating-We all have our favourite seat but we all have to sacrifice it now as seats will be clearly designated with signs.

Symptoms-If you have any symptoms at all, Stay At Home, the obligation to attend Mass has been removed for everyone for the time being.

Yearbook 2020

If you have a baby for Baptism, you are asked to book in and attend Baptismal Preparation Meeting in the Parochial House—the meeting is on the second Monday of every month at 8:00pm. You will be given the registration form for baptism and the date of Baptism will be confirmed for you at this meeting. At the Baptism Preparation Meeting the Sacrament and Ceremony of Baptism is discussed and explained and the details for the Baptismal Register will be recorded. You are asked to bring a copy of your Baby’s Birth Certificate. This meeting is conducted by the Parish Baptismal Team and lasts approx.1 hour. Please try to find a minder for the children as the information for these classes need the full attention of those attending. Please be on time for the meeting so that they may begin at 8:00pm. 24 Hour Charity Spinathon

St Lazerian’s House are holding a 24 Hour Charity Spinathon from 6pm Friday 16th August to 6pm Saturday 17th August

Patric’s Injury Clinic and Fitness Centre are hosting the event for us

Please contact Marian on 086 1258480 for a sponsorship card and to book a place on a bike, beginners welcome, no experience required, as long as you can sit on a bike you will have great fun, (experienced spinners will be in different groups), I am organising the hourly groups now so please contact me on the above number if you would like to take part.

We need 18 people on bikes every hour.

St Lazerian’s House provides residential care for older people in Bagenalstown and all surrounding areas, we rely on fundraising events for all the “extras” required to make St Lazerian’s a lovely place to live.

As a local community we are lucky to have such a lovely facility for older people, we will all need St Lazerian’s in the future ourselves and we want to continue to develop and grow and improve the house for all to enjoy. Please feel free to drop in at any time to see St Lazerian’s, enjoy our hospitality and our beautiful gardens.

We are also having:

• A 24-hour Barbeque

• Refreshments served all day

• Live music Friday evening

• Edward Hayden live from KCLR on Saturday morning 10 – 12

• Live music Saturday afternoon
