Muinebheag Vocational School will be 50 years old in September 2013! Calling all past pupils to a meeting in the school, on Thursday. Jan 31st at 8pm. All past pupils are invited to go along and get the party started.
Visual Art Project

Volunteer in the New Year
Carlow Volunteer Centre will host an Information Stand in Bagenalstown Credit Union on Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 1.30 pm.. – 4pm. Information will be available on the many different volunteering opportunities around the county. It’s a chance to find out how to share your skills, interests and hobbies – without having to give any commitment. Senior Monitored Alarms Scheme
Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre is working with the Department to make grants available for monitored alarms to be installed in homes of people over the age of 65 years of age. If approved the initial installation fee of €250.00 will be covered and then you only have to pay a monitoring fee to the alarm company for €67.50 in a once off fee, if you choose to pay quarterly the cost will be €22.50 which amounts to €90.00 for the year. Bagenalstown Men’s Shed
is busy, busy , busy, opened from 10am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday! Their first project is a mini enterprise where they are buildng hand crafted garden furniture which will be available for sale. The Men’s Shed is currently working on wood crafted bird houses and you can get your hands on these lovely garden features for only €15.00. The garden line will include Bird Tables, also €5.00, Window Boxes for €10.00 and Large Flower Pots for €15.00. All monies raised will be pumped back into the Mens Shed Enterprise to buy materials, so get behind and support their efforts and better still have a fantastically decorated garden for the Spring! Are you grieving for a loved one
The Parish has a team of people who have been professionally trained to support all parishioners who have been bereaved. A letter offering their confidential support is sent out to one member of the bereaved family where the funeral has taken place in Bagenalstown Parish. This support is also available to all members of the family and to bereaved parishioners where the funeral has not taken place in Bagenalstown and if you would like to avail of this support please phone Rita O’Qigley 059 9131323 or Eleanor Dunphy in the Parish office 059 97211154 who will make the arrangements for someone to meet you.
