St. Andrew’s AGM

The 2010 AGM of St. Andrew’s GFC will take place on Friday, January 22 at 8pm in the Estoria. 2009 was a year of much improvement for St. Andrew’s on the playing pitch at all levels. This was thanks to the efforts and commitment of the players and management. There was of course huge disappointment ultimately for the Intermediate team who missed out on promotion to the senior championship after an intermediate championship final replay. The team can nonetheless look back on a campaign where they continually improved. St. Andrew’s should certainly start the 2010 intermediate championship as favourites.

Pitch and Putt AGM

The 2010 AGM of Bagenalstown Pitch & Putt Club will take place on Thursday, January 21 at 8pm in the clubhouse. 2009 was notable for a number of reasons for the club. The highlight was the success of local player, Senan Kavanagh, playing magnificently to win the Scratch Cup in

August. The course has seen improvements with the recent addition of a practice putting green. This will no doubt improve all players putting skills. Weekly competitions were well supported during the Summer and there is a basis for greater participation in 2010. The juvenile section also prospered. The club would like to see as many members as possible attend the AGM. The support and input of the membership is very important for the ongoing success of the club.
